Family
My husband's name is Tye, and he works in Olympia. We have a son and a daughter, both students in OSD. We like hiking, camping, skiing, and riding bikes together.

About me
Originally I am from Bulgaria, a small European country located north of Greece. I've lived in the United States since 2001. I have worked in schools in Bulgaria, Alaska, and Washington state.  We moved to Olympia in the summer of 2007.  I substituted in schools all over Thurston County, and taught in Yelm Community Schools for two years before starting with Olympia School District in 2017.  I love living and working in Olympia. My hobbies are reading, gardening, and fine-stitch sewing. When I am not working, I spend a lot of time with my family.

Teaching Philosophy
I believe that every child can be successful. I treat students and parents with respect and I expect the same in return. I teach my students to be kind, to meet classroom and school expectations, to take turns, and to help each other. I set high expectations and work closely with my students to make sure they are academically well-prepared for advancement.  In my classroom, kids learn to share toys and supplies, work in teams, play and learn together, and have a lot of fun.
