Hello My Name Is...

Deyana Menser

My husband's name is Tye, and he works in Olympia as an attorney. We have a son and a daughter, Kaloyan and Noelle.

About me
Originally I am from Bulgaria, a small European country located north of Greece. I've lived in the United States since 2001. I have worked in schools in Bulgaria, Alaska, and Washington state.  We moved to Olympia in the summer of 2007. I  substituted for schools all over Thurston County, and taught in Yelm Community Schools for two years. I love living and working in Olympia. My hobbies are reading, gardening, and fine-stitch sewing. When I am not working, I spend a lot of time with my family.

Teaching Philosophy
I believe that every child can be successful. I treat students and parents with respect and I expect the same in return. I teach my students to be kind and nice, to meet classroom and school expectations, to take turns, and to help each other. Bullying and hurting other students are unacceptable. In my classroom kids share toys and supplies, work in teams, play and learn together, and have a lot of fun.
