What is the Hansen Alternative Program?

The Hansen Alternative Program (HAP) provides families within the Olympia School District (OSD) an opportunity to engage in a collaborative and inventive educational experience with teachers, students, and other parents. The Hansen Alternative Program is a multi-age/multi-grade learning format.

Any family within the OSD can enter the lottery for placement into the HAP. All families new to HAP, both inside or outside of the Hansen service area, have an equal chance to enroll in HAP through a lottery process.
